Red Kite

Just as i brought the camera up from having a quick look at the picture of a puppy,  i had just taken i glimpsed up to see a very low flying Red Kite.
I quickly pointed the camera towards the sky to grab a shot it slowly and gracefully turned and flew over the hedge row and it was gone i got three shots and again a lovely view of one of my favourite birds.

  1. Three nice images Samuel. You must be very happy with them. Some of the best shots you get are the unexpected ones and i personally get more enjoyment capturing those kind. The last two show the lovely detail on the birds underwing. They are better than any Red Kite images i have.
    Well done.

  2. Thanks, Yep i defiantly agree there! i much prefer the unexpected "surprise" of seeing something i wasn't expecting. I was very surprised at the height it was flying over at, a few seconds and it was gone - a great sight to see such brilliant birds doing well in the UK but even better being able to see them in the northeast.
    Thanks again

  3. Hi Sam
Some very nice shots on your blog. I'm now following. Keep up the good work.
I've left a message in answer to your query about the Short Eared Owls. As I say in the reply, let me know if you need any clarification.
    Cheers Brian
